S Table cambia materia. MDF Italia, infatti, ha voluto spingere al limite le possibilità
del cemento, aggiungendolo ai materiali attualmente disponibili per il basamento
dalla caratteristica forma a spirale. La forza del materiale contrasta con la leggerezza
della forma, conferendo al tavolo una matericità che lo proietta con decisione
nel dibattito contemporaneo. Il top è disponibile in cemento o in cristallo.
S Table è un tavolo iconico progettato da Xavier Lust per MDF Italia nel 2007.
La sinuosa torsione a S del basamento riflette la tensione visibile che contraddistin-
gue il lavoro del pluripremiato designer. Le curve dinamiche, ispirate al processo
di deformazione delle superfici metalliche, sono una firma distintiva del suo percorso
creativo. La versione in cemento amplia le possibilità d’uso di S Table, rendendolo
adatto anche agli spazi esterni.
S Table changes material. MDF Italia has expanded the possibilities of concrete by
incorporating it into the materials currently available for the base, with its distinctive
spiral shape. The strength of the material contrasts with the lightness of the form,
giving the table a tangible presence that firmly anchors it in contemporary design
discourse. The top is available in either concrete or glass.
S Table is an iconic design by Xavier Lust for MDF Italia in 2007. The sinuous,
S-shaped twist of the base reflects the visible tension that characterises the work
of the award-winning designer. The dynamic curves, inspired by the process
of deforming metal surfaces, have become a signature of his creative journey. The
concrete version expands S Table’s potential uses, making it suitable for outdoor
spaces as well.
