When darkness falls and the work day draws to an end in the cold weather
which lasts so long at this latitude, it’s nice to build a fire in the fireplace and
sink into a cosy armchair, putting your feet up as you read the paper before
cooking dinner for two. The building’s architecture is an austere shell,
its minimalist style greatly enhancing the iconic personalities of the furniture.
With a fire roaring, the scent of wood warms and envelops you while the light
reflects off of the select furniture and objects which, like imposing presences,
represent themselves in their own right and in relation to the others.
Quando, nelle sere delle stagioni fredde, che a queste latitudini si vedono
numerose nell’anno, il buio riveste la casa e la giornata lavorativa volge
al termine, non di rado si accende il fuoco nel camino. É bello accomodarsi
sulla generosa poltrona davanti ad esso, distendere i piedi e leggere
un buon giornale prima di mettersi a preparare la cena per due. L’architettura
è un guscio sobrio, il suo stile minimale fa risaltare fortemente le
personalità iconiche degli arredi. Con il fuoco acceso, l’odore del legno
scalda e avvolge, mentre la luce riverbera sui selezionati arredi
e oggetti che stanno, come presenze, ognuno a rappresentare se stesso
e se stesso in relazione agli altri.
