Karim Rashid, one of today’s most eclectic designers, is the author of Cyborg, a table lamp with a decidedly future-looking form.
Martinelli Luce’s collaboration with Rashid is a clear expression of the brand’s interest in the most innovative and lively design languages now emerging on the international panorama.
Karim Rashid’s sensual and often ironic minimalism has made him one of the most “followed” figures in products, interior design, fashion, furnishings, lighting, and art, one who is well-known for the immediacy of his design and his absolutely original slant on contemporary culture.
Cyborg interprets a desire to create a table lamp closely tied to the present (or better, to a very near future). In aluminum, with a LED light source and a sinuous form reflecting a readily-recognizable aesthetic – as indeed do all of Rashid’s projects.
