Technical engineering and sensuous beauty go hand in hand to create a monumental piece of rationalist furniture. The Edros cabinet drinks from Casa da Musica, “one of the most important concert halls of the past 100 years”, and also from the CCTV headquarters, a distinguished skyscraper, both distinctive projects from the outstanding repertoire of Rem Koolhaas. The geometric cabinet top is nished in a dramatic mother of pearl-style lacquer on the exterior and is richly adorned with gold leaf and bronze laminated glass in the interior. The structural base is nished with caviuna wood and enveloped by a matrix of brass.
