To get moldable, metal is heated to high temperatures and handled with specific tools
that allow the artisans to create the desired shapes. A type of metalworking
is the FILIGREE, a technique as ancient as the year 2500 B.C. Bent and twisted fine threads
of metal are shaped into lace-like designs. Very tiny spheres are also used, welded with each
other. Specially used in goldsmithery, filigree is carefully handcrafted due to its
delicacy, which results in graceful ornaments.
