KiBiSi is a combination of the names of the companies of the
group’s three members. ‘Ki’ comes from Lars Larsen’s Kilo Design,
‘Bi’ from Bjarke Ingels’ firm of architects BIG, and ‘Si’ from Jens
Martin Skibsted’s agency Skibsted ID.
The wall- and ceiling-mounted versions of SILVERBACK were
launched in 2014, with the pendant model arriving in December of
the same year. A smaller version of all three models has now been
added to the family, featuring the same fundamental design idiom.
