Contrast reducing elements
For Kipp there are two contrast reducing layers
between the LED and the dark night sky.
Diffuser
On top of the LED a cone shaped diffusers
softens the light and distributes it out in a
horisontal and downwards direction. The main
proportion of light is distributed out close to
45 degrees downwards providing a high level
of vertical illumination. The cone shape of the
diffuser ensures the luminance is low.
Top
The top of the fixture functions as the main
reflector providing a wide downward reflected
light while ensuring the contrast between the
dark night sky and the light source is reduced.
