Random Stick extends the collection of the same name designed by
Chia–Ying Lee with a stand-alone suspension lamp that has an essential
yet highly decorative character. Random’s poetic spheres of light
find their place on a hexagonal bar, reminiscent of fragile soap bubbles
skimming the surface before taking flight again. The lamp, available
in two bar lengths – 100 cm and 150 cm – lends itself to illuminating
long, rectangular surfaces of various sizes, such as a dining table or a
cocktail bar counter. The spheres pick up on Random’s seven finishes,
freely combinable on polished gold, polished black, and matt white
bars to create original colour combinations and luminous effects.
The decorative function of the spheres is further enhanced by LED
modules at the bottom of the bar, complementing the light already
diffused by the spheres and ensuring uniform downward brightness.
Random Stick amplia l’omonima collezione firmata da Chia–Ying Lee
con una lampada a sospensione stand-alone dal carattere essenziale,
ma fortemente decorativo. Le poetiche sfere di luce di Random trovano
posto su una barra esagonale, quasi come fossero fragili bolle di sapone
che ne sfiorano la superficie prima di riprendere il volo. La lampada,
disponibile in due lunghezze di barra, da 100 cm e 150 cm, si presta a
illuminare superfici lunghe e rettangolari di diverse dimensioni, come
un tavolo da pranzo o il bancone di un cocktail bar. Le sfere riprendono
le sette finiture di Random, liberamente abbinabili su barre di colore oro
lucido, nero lucido e bianco opaco per creare originali accostamenti
cromatici ed effetti luminosi. La funzione decorativa delle sfere viene
ulteriormente accentuata grazie ai moduli LED nella parte inferiore
della barra: ciò completa la luce già diffusa dalle sfere e garantisce una
luminosità uniforme verso il basso.
