Arte & Culto | Exhibitions and museums
Nowadays, museums can be divided into different categories: first of all,
those housed in modern or historical buildings, both of which pose their own
challenges in terms of installations.
Secondly, not all buildings start out as museums, but can be transformed
into one for various reasons: for example, the birthplace of a great artist, or
libraries, exhibition centres, temporary exhibition spaces. Furthermore, the role
that churches play as a treasure chest of artworks – comparable to genuine
museums – must be considered.
Last but not least, the use of museums and/or exhibition spaces themselves
has evolved over the years. Today, it is essential to thoroughly study the routes
proposed to visitors and the related multisensory experiences, which inevitably
require customised lighting schemes.
