The absence of cornicing where projectors could be placed
makes it necessary to fi nd another way to
illuminate points of interest. The attachment of Pound
projectors to rods allows diff erent supports to be used for wall
or ceiling mounting, providing multi-directional lighting.
The extremely slim rod helps to camoufl age the luminaire in its
surroundings, for an unobtrusive and barely noticeable visual
impact. Various aspects of the product can be customised:
length of rod, number and type of projectors, optics, colour.
The projectors can be pivoted to provide fl exible spotlighting
and directional light. The use of two or more projectors
allows for multi-point lighting to emphasise several areas
simultaneously. With a single Pound Rod equipped with two
projectors, for example, it is possible to illuminate an artwork
(a statue, a painting) and at the same time an important
architectural detail. Alternatively, light can be focussed on two
diff erent points of interest, e.g. side altar and baptismal font.
