conditions for product-handling and transportation.
At each stage, from the prototype to manufacturing
and then delivery, we aim to minimize our impact on
the environment. One of the many examples of this
stewardship are the adhesives that we use. Since 2004,
we have used water-based or vinyl rather than solvent-
based adhesives. These adhesives are considered «clean»
and guarantee the safety of both the craftsman and the
buyer. Our use of scrap wood is a second example. The
company recycles it to provide on-site heating for 45,000
m2 of the furniture factory. Fuel is barely used. Even the
ashes from our chimneys are measured and analyzed
each year. So it is not just furniture in high demand
that comes out of Briord. It is also a growing number of
processes aimed at sorting, reducing and recycling all
waste. As a result, waste volume has dropped by 40%
in ten years. With regard to «traceability,» in a world in
which consumers are increasingly concerned about the
where, when, and how of production, Ligne Roset has
always boasted high-quality products. For this reason, our
company is an active member of Eco-Mobilier, created
in 2013 to meet the requirements of responsible and
environmentally-friendly consumption, contributing to the
recycling and reuse of used furniture, i.e., 26 kilos per year
and per capita in France.
Ligne Roset will continue to honor our environment
beyond the built environment with each new product line,
and to create products that support a sustainable lifestyle.
We feel that this is design at its best.
