THE ENTREPRENEUR: MICHELA BARONA
Michela Barona, sole director of Le Fablier SpA, was born in Zofingen in
1964 from Italian parents. Michela studied in Verona and took a diploma
as foreign correspondent. At only 17 years, with very few resources, she
founded along with her former husband, a furniture company. In 1986, the
company expanded and became Le Fablier.
Michela Barona is a good example of self-made woman who has built a
company with insight and intelligence with a strong identity, contributing to
the spread of an high Italian quality product abroad.
She managed to create a well-established company with a management
staff rather atypical:involving workers in all business processes and
making them responsible not only for its functions, has created a greater
harmony between the different areas of the company.
By her own admission, there is always to improve aiming as much as
possible on research. It is precisely for this reason more that 10% of the
company's turnover is invested in research and development.
