Sustainability Award 2024
Italcer, a benefit hub company specialized in Made in Italy ceramic design, ranked first
in the environment category at the Sustainability Award 2024, an important recognition
now in its fourth edition and reserved for the best Italian companies
that have distinguished themselves in addressing the challenges of the climate
emergency, transforming it into an opportunity to express innovation and activate
the country's energies.
More than 300,000 Italian industrial and service companies have invested in sustainability
and efficiency - paying particular attention to the sector of energy efficiency and
renewable sources - setting a real record of eco-investments.
The ranking, compiled by Kon Group and ELITE, an ecosystem of the Euronext Group,
which had the Politecnico di Milano as its institutional scientific partner, sees Italcer at
the top of sustainable companies this year, all of which have an ESG rating issued by the
institutional scientific partner ALTIS Advisory, a spin-off of the Catholic University of the
Sacred Heart, and by RepRisk as a technical partner.
In particular, Italcer ranked first in the "TOP 100 ENVIRONMENTAL>250", obtaining the
highest score in the environmental field among companies with a turnover of over 250
million euros.
Graziano Verdi, CEO of Italcer Group explains: “This award underlines the importance of
carrying out research and development projects and above all of implementing them at an
industrial level to achieve the CO2 reduction targets of the 2030 agenda. Our commitment
to sustainability also extends to our value chain and the communities in which we operate.
It is a challenging journey that requires a far-sighted strategic vision, but at the same time
it is extremely motivating, because it allows us to respond responsibly to the challenges of
the market and the communities in which we operate”.
The Italcer Group, which has always been committed to the challenge of decarbonizing
the production process, has just started up an electric kiln in Spain, born from a research
project by the Equipe company in collaboration with the Jaume I University of Castellón
and the Systemfoc company, which will allow it to save 1,500 tons of CO2 per year. The
project was developed with the aim of completely eliminating direct CO2 emissions in the
firing phase, without compromising the technical-economic sustainability of the products
produced. Italcer has also designed, after years of research, and patented (Patent No.
102022000017034) a state-of-the-art plant for the capture, transformation and fixation
of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere by its production plants, as well as the recovery and
transformation into noble materials of other pollutants present, both organic and inorganic. In
2023 alone, the group invested 5 million euros in social and environmental projects.

s'est classée première en matière d'environnement au Sustainability Award 2024,
une importante reconnaissance à sa quatrième édition et réservée aux meilleures
entreprises italiennes qui se sont distinguées en relevant les défis de l'urgence climatique,
la transformant en une opportunité d'exprimer l'innovation et d'activer les énergies du pays.
Plus de 300 000 entreprises industrielles et de services italiennes ont investi dans la
durabilité et l'efficacité - en accordant une attention particulière au secteur de l'efficacité
énergétique et aux sources renouvelables - établissant un véritable record d'éco-
investissements.
Le classement, établi par Kon Group et ELITE, un écosystème du groupe Euronext, qui avait le
Politecnico di Milano comme partenaire scientifique institutionnel, voit Italcer au sommet des
entreprises durables cette année, toutes dotées d'une notation ESG émise par le partenaire
scientifique institutionnel ALTIS Advisory, une spin-off de l'Université catholique du Sacré-
Cœur, et par RepRisk en tant que partenaire technique.
Plus précisément, Italcer s'est classée première des « TOP 100 ENVIRONMENTAL>250
», obtenant le score le plus élevé dans le domaine environnemental parmi les entreprises
candidates avec un chiffre d'affaires supérieur à 250 millions d'euros.

des projets de recherche et développement et surtout de les mettre en œuvre à l'échelle
industrielle pour atteindre les objectifs de réduction du CO2 de l'agenda 2030. Notre
engagement en faveur de la durabilité s'étend également à notre chaîne de valeur et aux
communautés dans lesquelles nous opérons. C'est un parcours exigeant qui nécessite une
vision stratégique clairvoyante, mais qui est en même temps extrêmement motivant, car il
nous permet de répondre de manière responsable aux défis du marché et des communautés
dans lesquelles nous opérons ».
Le groupe Italcer, engagé depuis toujours dans le défi de la décarbonation du processus
de production, vient de mettre en service un four électrique en Espagne, né d'un projet de
recherche de la société Equipe en collaboration avec l'Université Jaume I de Castellón et la
société Systemfoc qui lui permettra d'économiser 1 500 tonnes de CO2 par an. Le projet a
été développé dans le but d'éliminer complètement les émissions directes de CO2 lors de
la phase de cuisson, sans compromettre la durabilité technico-économique des produits
fabriqués. Italcer a également conçu, après des années de recherche, et breveté (Brevet
n° 102022000017034) une installation de pointe visant à la capture, à la transformation
et à la fixation du CO2 émis dans l'atmosphère par ses usines de production, ainsi qu'au
récupération et transformation en matériaux nobles des autres polluants présents, qu'ils
soient organiques ou inorganiques. En 2023 seul, le groupe a investi 5 millions d'euros dans
des projets sociaux et environnementaux.

ersten Platz in der Kategorie Umwelt belegt hat, einer wichtigen Auszeichnung, die
bereits zum vierten Mal verliehen wird und den besten italienischen Unternehmen
vorbehalten ist, die sich durch die Bewältigung der Herausforderungen des
Klimawandels ausgezeichnet haben und sie in eine Gelegenheit verwandelt haben,
Innovation auszudrücken und die Energien des Landes zu aktivieren.
Mehr als 300.000 italienische Industrie- und Dienstleistungsunternehmen haben in
Nachhaltigkeit und Effizienz investiert – mit besonderem Augenmerk auf den Bereich
der Energieeffizienz und der erneuerbaren Energien – und damit einen wahren Rekord
bei Öko-Investitionen aufgestellt.
Das Ranking, das von der Kon Group und ELITE, einem Ökosystem der
Euronext-Gruppe, erstellt wurde, das das Politecnico di Milano als institutionellen
wissenschaftlichen Partner hatte, sieht Italcer in diesem Jahr an der Spitze der
nachhaltigen Unternehmen, die alle über ein ESG-Rating verfügen, das vom
institutionellen wissenschaftlichen Partner ALTIS Advisory, einem Spin-off der
Katholischen Universität des Heiligen Herzens, und von RepRisk als technischem
Partner ausgestellt wurde.
Insbesondere belegte Italcer den ersten Platz in der Kategorie "TOP 100
ENVIRONMENTAL>250" und erzielte die höchste Punktzahl im Umweltbereich unter
den Unternehmen mit einem Umsatz von über 250 Millionen Euro.

Die Italcer Group, die sich seit jeher der Herausforderung der Dekarbonisierung des
Produktionsprozesses verschrieben hat, hat in Spanien gerade einen Elektroofen
in Betrieb genommen, der aus einem Forschungsprojekt der Firma Equipe in
Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität Jaume I de Castellón und der Firma Systemfoc
entstanden ist und durch den 1.500 Tonnen CO2 pro Jahr eingespart werden
können. Das Projekt wurde mit dem Ziel entwickelt, die direkten CO2-Emissionen
in der Brennphase vollständig zu eliminieren, ohne die technisch-wirtschaftliche
Nachhaltigkeit der hergestellten Produkte zu beeinträchtigen. Italcer hat außerdem
nach jahrelanger Forschung ein hochmodernes System zur Abscheidung,
Umwandlung und Fixierung von CO2 entwickelt und patentiert (Patent Nr.
102022000017034), das von seinen Produktionsanlagen in die Atmosphäre
abgegeben wird, sowie zur Rückgewinnung und Umwandlung anderer vorhandener
Schadstoffe in edle Materialien, sowohl organischer als auch anorganischer Natur.
Allein im Jahr 2023 hat der Konzern 5 Millionen Euro in soziale und umweltbezogene
Projekte investiert.

importante riconoscimento giunto alla quarta edizione e riservato
alle migliori aziende italiane che si sono contraddistinte nell’affrontare
le sfide dell’emergenza climatica, trasformandola in un’occasione
per esprimere innovazione ed attivare le energie del Paese.
Oltre 300.000 aziende dell’industria italiana e dei servizi hanno investito
in sostenibilità ed efficienza – rivolgendo particolare attenzione al settore
dell’efficienza energetica e nelle fonti rinnovabili – segnando un vero
record di eco-investimenti.
La classifica, stilata da Kon Group ed ELITE, ecosistema del Gruppo Euronext,
che ha avuto come partner scientifico istituzionale il Politecnico di Milano,
vede quest’anno Italcer al vertice delle imprese sostenibili, tutte dotate di
rating ESG emesso dal partner scientifico istituzionale ALTIS Advisory,
spin-off dell’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore e da RepRisk come
partner tecnico.
Più in particolare, Italcer si è classificata al primo posto delle “TOP 100
ENVIRONMENTAL>250”, ottenendo il punteggio più elevato in campo
ambientale tra le imprese candidate con fatturato superiore
a 250 milioni di euro.

“Questo premio sottolinea l’importanza di svolgere progetti di ricerca e sviluppo
e soprattutto di implementarli a livello industriale per il raggiungimento
degli obiettivi di riduzione della C02 dell’agenda 2030. Il nostro impegno
nell’ambito della sostenibilità si estende anche alla nostra catena del valore
e alle comunità in cui operiamo. È un percorso impegnativo, che richiede
una visione strategica lungimirante, ma al contempo estremamente motivante,
perché ci permette di rispondere con responsabilità alle sfide del mercato
e delle comunità in cui operiamo”.
Il Gruppo Italcer, da sempre impegnato nella sfida della decarbonizzazione
del processo produttivo, ha appena avviato in Spagna un forno elettrico,
nato da un progetto di ricerca della società Equipe in collaborazione
con l'Università Jaume I di Castellón e la società Systemfoc che consentirà
di risparmiare 1.500 tonnellate di C02 all’anno. Il progetto è stato sviluppato
con l’obiettivo di eliminare completamente le emissioni dirette di CO2
nella fase di cottura, senza compromettere la sostenibilità tecnico-economica
dei prodotti realizzati. Italcer inoltre ha progettato, dopo anni di ricerca,
e brevettato (Brevetto N. 102022000017034) un impianto all’avanguardia
volto alla cattura, trasformazione e fissazione della C02 emessa in atmosfera
dai propri impianti produttivi, oltre che al recupero e alla trasformazione
in materiali nobili degli altri inquinanti presenti, sia organici che inorganici.
Nel solo 2023 il gruppo ha investito 5 milioni di euro in progetti sociali
e ambientali.
