LOW VOLTAGE DC/DC CONVERTERS
This power supply system combines AC/DC voltage power supply units with low voltage DC/DC converters for LEDs:
This makes it possible to develop simple and extremely reliable power supply systems for LEDs that provide high power at low costs.
With this power supply system, several converters can be connected to a single line.
To identify the correct components that can be used in systems that combine switch-mode power supply units with DC/DC converters,
we suggest you follow the steps below:
1. consider the type of device to be powered (350mA for 1W);
2. consider the current supplied to the secondary by the DC/DC converter;
3. consider the maximum manageable power depending on the input voltage (12Vdc; 24Vdc);
4. calculate the total power required by the system (for example: ten 3W fixtures => 10x3 = 30W).
At this point you can select the switch-mode power supply best suited to your system (40W, for example),
bearing in mind that this type of power supply works best when loaded to 90% of its maximum capacity.
