In 1918, Hanns Kolarz founded a lamp-
shade factory in Vienna, where his passion
for beautiful light is kept alive today.
KOLARZ creates innovative lighting design
for spectac ular skyscrapers, legendary
department stores, luxury hotels and
other high-profile projects as well as for
renowned retailers and, of course, pri-
vate residences around the world. Still
based in Vienna, KOLARZ has grown
into a successful family business run by
the fourth generation and supplies top
quality lighting to clients from over 50
countries.
Our commitment to traditional European
craftsmanship is what makes KOLARZ so
special. All our masterpieces are unique
works of art, handmade by skilled artists
and artisans in our workshops based near
Vienna, Venice and Budapest. We use
only the finest precious materials includ-
ing 24 carat gold, silver, crystals and
mouth-blown Murano glass to produce
our exceptional lights from the heart of
Europe, bringing beauty and sparkle to
people’s lives on all continents.
