Memory is an invitation to remember, discover again past sketches of an experienced life and treasure it for the future. Matteo Ugolini inspired himself to an ancient procedure born around XIX century: padding and turned it into contemporary look. What has to be imagined is the hand-made cushioning of sofas and armchairs becoming a suspended lamp where stitching are glowing and silk or ancient velvet become high-tech thanks to matt white ceramic. Memory is a lamp to be touched: with that model the taste and will to go back to handcraft meet industrial production and give birth to lighting. A unique tactile sensation conveyed by a special diamondback manufacturing is definitely reinforced by a visual perception of sparkling lights seeping through small buttonholes obtained on the ceramic surface.
