Meta è una famiglia di sedute impilabili (sedia, sgabello alto
e sgabello basso) adatte per uso interno ed esterno. La sedia,
lo sgabello alto e lo sgabellino sono realizzati interamente
in alluminio verniciato. Ispirata alle modalità costruttive delle
carrozzerie delle automobili da corsa degli anni passati, grazie
al ricorso a chiodi metallici e rivetti, la collezione Meta nasce
espressamente per l’arredo di un ristorante annesso a un
museo d’auto. Tema di progetto era realizzare una seduta
interamente di alluminio, senza ricorrere a costosi stampi di
imbutitura, adeguati per tirature seriali di carattere industriale.
Il profilo della lamiera d’alluminio si adatta alla modalità
costruttiva prescelta: il disegno dello schienale consente la
piegatura a mano della spalliera, mentre il sedile si incurva
seguendo il disegno della struttura portante sottostante.

Meta is a family of stackable seats (chair, high and low stools)
for indoor and outdoor use, entirely in painted aluminium.
Based on the manufacturing process of the bodywork of
racing cars in the past, through the use of metal rivets the
Meta collection was developed specifically for a restaurant
inside the complex of an automotive museum. The design
challenge was to make a chair totally in aluminium, without the
costly deep-drawing dies called for by industrial production.
The profile of the aluminium sheet adapts to the selected
method of construction: the design of the back permits the
bending of the support by hand, while the seat is curved to
follow the form of the load-bearing structure below.
