The iconic Le Perroquet floodlight, designed by Renzo Piano
for Centre Pompidou in 1998, becomes smaller and takes on a
shade of contemporaneity.
Le Perroquet was created for a specific purpose: to light up the new Forum of Centre Pompidou. Joking, the archi-
tect said: "We need some parrots suspended in the air here. We need these objects that descend. And then in fact,
little by little, we designed this perch with an object hanging from two cables.” A decisive intuition that unexpect-
edly transformed a high-performance tool into a lightweight, elegant object with endless application possibilities.
Le Perroquet has now become smaller, miniaturised, either suspended or ceiling-mounted for the Filorail track.
Apart from white and black, it can also be red, orange, yellow or light blue, echoing Beaubourg's architectural
elements. Each version transforms the floodlight into a different object, sometimes discreet and sometimes im-
posing with a markedly technical appearance, yet simple and joyful. Patented Optibeam optics - with lenses and
reflectors - for an optimum balance between performance and visual comfort. Smart Light with Dali Powerline or
BLE Casambi. Le Perroquet for Filorail, fun and yet professional, is perfect for hospitality and retail contexts.
