Integration with architecture is a process of formal and
functional agreement. The first step towards accomplishing
this utopian vision is miniaturisation. We consequently
worked on design to achieve a shared dream: products so
minimal that they cannot be seen despite being capable
of delivering efficient, controllable and comfortable light
directly from the architecture itself, with a variety of finishes
to enhance aesthetic harmony. Nevertheless, we went
beyond formal integration of light as such to encourage
integration of other functions over and above illumination.
This requirement follows the trend of installing several
devices providing several functions in a single setting;
however, this often crowds ceilings to the point of all but
creating aesthetic rejection. Light, audio, video and sensors
all brought together in a single solution harmonise ceilings
and meet the multi-function needs of contemporary
spaces. The result went far beyond all expectations.
