Drop by Drop
Liquid connection
Light is punctuation, notes, counterpoint, rhythm and
sequence. It is an integral part of architectural language.
Drop by Drop, designed by architect Alfonso Femia,
anticipates or accompanies a rhythm, a sequence, an
idea of slow vertical movement, drop by drop. We sought
to retain that ephemeral shape of water when it is released
and emerges from a container, narrowing at fi rst like a
thread and then swelling into a bubble as if infl ated by a
magical pipe. We sought to catch that moment, suspend
it, make it refl ective and luminous. Drop by Drop interprets
the contemporary value of interplay, of cross-fertilisation.
It is not a product but an infi nity of lighting and spatial
solutions. It can create completely different impacts when
installed alone or in a group, passing from an intimate to
a collective dimension, or when set up in offi ces, retail
premises or domestic settings. There are no limits. Two
versions (accent lighting or general lighting) both have LED
technology and Opti Beam refl ectors to ensure comfort
and effi ciency, for concentrated and diffused light alike.
