Toyo Ito
Designer
Toyo Ito is regarded as one of the world's most
innovative and influential architects and is particularly
appreciated for creating and elaborating extreme
architectural concepts in which he combines the
physical and virtual worlds. In 2013, Ito was awarded the
prestigious Pritzker Prize.
His collaboration with Horm dates back to 2003, but
is undoubtedly destined to be remembered for many
years to come. Ito's commitment to exploring new forms
and his poetic interpretation of natural archetypes led
to the creation of the Ripples bench, an internationally
awarded work that confirmed the importance for Horm
of collaborating with great masters of design.
