Within each class, the studios can be reconfgured to
support a range of activities, including presentations,
performances, and project development. “You can do
it all in one space,” said McKenzie. “Diferent learning
activities can happen, even within one class time.
It’s a much more dynamic environment.”
The Media Studios—along with a variety of
compelling learning spaces across campus—have
made the University of Wisconsin–Madison an
exemplar of student- and faculty-centered campus
design, as well as a testament to the success this
approach brings to individuals and institutions.
