Dopo aver conseguito la laurea al Royal College
of Art nel 2007, Yael Mer e Shay Alkalay fondano Raw Edges,
condividendo vita, pensieri e idee. Il loro studio

After taking degrees at the Royal College of Art
in 2007, Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay founded Raw Edges,
proceeding to share their lives, their thoughts,
and their ideas. Their studio is a place where curiosity
represents the prevalent factor in the creation
of each project, in a constant quest for the surprising,
the astonishing, and the ironic. Over the years, they
have received various professional awards, including
the British Council Talented Award, the iF Gold Award,
the Dutch Design Award, the 2009 Wallpaper* Design Award,
and the Elle Decoration International Design Award.
Named the 2009 Designers of the Future by Design
Miami/Basel, their work is included in MoMA’s permanent
collection in New York, as well as of other museums.
