Founded in 1905 by Gustav and Richard Giersiepen, Gira has
developed into one of the leading international suppliers of
intelligent system solutions for electro-mechanical and digital
building control. With its many patented solutions, the family-
owned company has been a driving force in the electrical industry
for decades. Gira and its products, innovations and solutions stand

Gira “GNERATOR” start-up initiative, which is aimed at developing

software company ISE in Oldenburg.

and function be intuitively experienced by users. A host of accolades
from internationally renowned design awards testify to the
extraordinary design quality. The pushbutton sensor 4 and the
Dual Q smoke alarm device both won an iF Design Award, for
example, and the Gira System 106 and the Cube motion detector
were honoured with reddot awards. In addition, the Gira System
3000 and the Gira G1 won over the German Design Award panel.
