Home Stations
See who is at the door
Gira home stations are voice and operating units at the front door. In their basic
configuration, home stations are equipped with a loudspeaker, a microphone and a call
button. As an option, they can be expanded by a TFT colour display and an additional
button for internal calls. Gira home stations are available to match the Gira switch ranges
in surface-mounted as well as flush-mounted versions.

the Gira switch ranges. Due to the
modular character, different functions can
be integrated into the home stations.
Door communication on the phone
The Gira DCS TC gateway integrates the
door communication system into the tele-
phone system. This enables call acceptance
and control of the door opener via wired
or mobile telephone. Respective telephone
numbers are programmed in advance in the
DCS TC gateway. Incoming calls then, for
example, ring simultaneously in the garden,
holiday home or at work, and the visitor at
the front door can be spoken to.
Door communication with a multi-talent
The new Gira G1 is a true all-rounder for
operating building technology. Combined
with the Gira DCS IP gateway and, for
example, the surface-mounted door station
Video, it turns into a full home station.
A camera image appears in the display
when the doorbell rings. Communication
is started or the door is opened with the
tap of a finger. Other building technology
functions can also be integrated in the
Gira G1.
Network-capable door communication
The Gira door communication system offers
the option of completely integrating Gira
door and home stations into IP networks via
the Gira DCS IP gateway. This allows the
easy use of a wide variety of operating
devices such as the Gira Control Clients,
computers or IP-capable phones to commu-
nicate with visitors in the entrance area.
Camera image in the TV set
The Gira DCS TV gateway transmits the
video from the door station's colour camera
to the television set. If the Gira DCS-DC-
gateway is used, the door can also be
opened. The use of the TV-gateway requires
that the television set has a Scart connec-
tion. In connection with the Gira DCS
TC-gateway, it is possible to speak to the
visitor using the telephone and open the
door.
