Cornelius Vandeputte
The Belgian artist Cornelius Vandeputte (1969) started his
artistic career at a very young age in theatre. Later on, he
attended the state school for ballet in Antwerp. After many
years of living and working abroad, the designer decided
to return to his roots and moved back to Belgium. Cornelius
then began a new chapter in his life, entering the Academy
of Arts in the city of Ieper to study sculpting.
Vandeputte aims to push the limits of material and employs
shapes that evoke movement and tension and that convey
emotion.
