The high-ceiling staircase was filled with
a cluster of Tooby pendants that look like
floating candles. In order to achieve this
look, the pendants were installed at various
heights and they were cleverly spread
throughout the whole space. This was
possible thanks to an accessory that allows
the pendants to be recessed into the ceiling.
This accessory provides two main benefits.
Firstly, the ceiling look remains intact, as
there is no need to install several unpleasant
metal bases. Secondly, the lights can be
placed anywhere, as the power supply can
be hidden in the plaster ceiling. Moreover,
the colour of the pendants was customized
so that it would match the brass finishing
of the interiors.
The solution chosen for the lounge bar is very
elegant and precious. Beluga pendants, made
of Crystal glass, light up the bar counter and
the VIP tables. It is a distinctive, yet discreet
element that blends in perfectly with the
surrounding. Moreover, it does not obstruct
the fabulous view over the financial district,
which is the main feature of the rooftop bar.

SOLUTIONS
The decorative element that was chosen for the lobby was placed behind
the reception with the purpose of separating the spaces and hiding the
staircase from the entryway. However, it was necessary that natural light
could filter through to the staircase. For this reason, it was a glass solution
that was preferred over all the other options. Three glass panels, 8 meters
high and 1.5 meters wide, were therefore chosen as the main feature of the
lobby. However, it is not just simple glass panels, they are chandeliers with
a light source placed at the top. Moreover, a very special pattern decorates
the glasses and makes sure to hide what is behind them. It was possible
to customize the pattern of the glasses so that they resembled the shape
of the sun. This was achieved through a close collaboration between the
designer, the technical department and the glass artisans who managed
to optimize the moulds for an affordable yet impressive result. In addition,
in order to highlight the beauty of the glass composition, the three panels
were installed within a metal frame that emphasizes their magnificence.
The glass supports are not fastened at the bottom to ensure for greater
flexibility and avoid tensions to the whole structure.
