CONCEPT
The design of the glass tiles composing the Laminis chandelier took
inspiration from the shape of the sun. The glasses form the shape of circles,
which resemble the sun and its rays spreading all around it. Indeed, the
location of the chandelier behind the reception desk, the most popular area
of a hotel, is not random. It puts a focus on the importance of the reception,
and its concentric design highlights what the main focus of the lobby is.
Behind the reception, the staircase is large and spacious and in order
to give it a sophisticated look, a cluster of floating candles was chosen
to accompany the guests to the second floor.
The rooftop bar instead is a cool and hip lounge bar where drops of crystal
glass light up the bar counter, and remind the visitors of the drops of
delicious cocktails.

WORKS 6 | INTERCONTINENTAL LONDON HOTEL - THE O2
REQUIREMENTS
Modern is not necessarily a synonym of
elegant. However, for the Intercontinental
Hotel O2, it was fundamental to reproduce
a contemporary and modern setting with
a refined touch. For this purpose, the hotel
was decorated with precious materials
like marble, brass and wood. In this
environment, Murano glass Laminis, crystal
glass Beluga and Pyrex glass Tooby were
the perfect choices. Their rich materials
add value to the prestigious interiors of
the hotel.
