Create a no-monolithic table, able to transfer a sense of
lightness.
Provide a strong presence, able to make perceive its
importance.
Lightness and strength. This is the oxymoron that guided
the design of Aria.
Air that can be gentle as the pleasant spring breeze or
blustering as a strong stormy wind.
In this way, the table top and its legs become one,
molded in “free form” as a result of a heavy storm, that
it managed to resist despite its lightness, thanks to its
tenacity, presence, and strength of its body.
The high-thickness legs merge with the top and, through
the irregular geometries of the joints and the use of the
materials, play in creating an object, that lives of similes
or of differences.
Creare un tavolo che non fosse monolitico e che
trasferisse un senso di leggerezza.
Renderlo di forte presenza facendone percepire facesse
percepire la sua importanza.
Leggerezza e forza. Questo è l’ossimoro che ha guidato la
progettazione di Aria.
Aria che può essere delicata come la piacevole brezza
primaverile o impetuosa, come un forte vento che porta
burrasca.
E così il top di questo tavolo e le sue gambe sono un
tutt’uno, che è stato plasmato in “forma libera” come il
risultato di una forte tempesta, a cui è riuscito a resistere
nonostante la sua leggerezza, grazie alla tenacia, alla
presenza e alla forza del suo corpo.
Le gambe a forte spessore si fondono con il piano e,
attraverso le geometrie irregolari degli incastri e l’utilizzo
dei materiali, giocano nel creare un oggetto che vive di
similitudini o di differenze.
