sono passate tra le mani. Ho scelto man mano dei
pezzi ai quali sono affezionato e che rappresentano un
personale percorso. L’ho fatto per far conoscere meglio
l’arte moderna e contemporanea, anche attraverso
presentazioni di libri, seminari, borse di studio per giovani
artisti. Le amo moltissimo e vorrei che rimanessero alla
mia famiglia, ma sento l’esigenza di condividerle con il
pubblico. Desidero mostrare le scelte di una vita per farle
apprezzare agli altri.
Fra queste opere ne ha una preferita?
Non mi faccia scegliere! Lei sceglierebbe mai tra i suoi
figli? Sono tutte opere a cui sono affezionatissimo, per un
motivo o per l’altro.
C’è un quadro di De Chirico a cui sono molto legato.
Fontana è uno degli artisti a cui devo di più, l’ho amato
quando non lo voleva ancora quasi nessuno.
Poi Dorazio … non saprei davvero.

I slowly chose the pieces I am fondest of and that tell
about my personal journey.
I did that to make modern and contemporary art better
known, even through book presentations, workshops,
scholarships for young artists. I really love them and I
would like to keep them in the family, but I feel the need to
share them with people.
I want to show the choices of a lifetime to make others
value them too.
Do you have a favourite?
Don’t make me choose! Would you ever choose one of
your children as your favourite? They are all works I am
deeply attached to, for some reason or other. There’s
a painting by De Chirico I am obsessed with. Fontana
is one of the artists to whom I owe most, I loved his art
when barely anyone wanted it.
Then, Dorazio … I don’t know, really.
