Lo studio del rivestimento è parte integrante del progetto
e i materiali con cui viene realizzato non sono un semplice
elemento accessorio. Sono la loro pelle. Sono un abito su
misura, un capo spalla che viene pensato, dimensionato
e cucito addosso al prodotto. Si tratta di pelli e tessuti
realizzati in esclusiva per rispondere a specifiche
performance e qualità. Gli effetti visivi e tattili si combinano
con la struttura di ogni creazione, le qualità estetiche
comunicano l’identità dell’oggetto.
Ad esempio, la texture del tessuto di on the roCks,
ricorda la superficie di uno scoglio o di una roccia, in
parte ricoperta da muschio e licheni. Allo stesso tempo, il
filo che emerge, tagliato in trama, crea una texture libera,
garantendo tenuta nel tempo.
The study of the upholstery is an integral part of the
project and the materials with which it is made are not a
simple accessory element. They are the skin. They are a
tailor-made dress, an outerwear which is designed, sized
and sewn onto the product. It is available in leathers and
textiles that have been exclusively made to meet specific
performance and quality standards.
The visual and tactile feel combines with the frame of
every creation, while the aesthetic qualities convey the
identity of the product.
For instance, the texture of the upholstery in on the
roCks, recalls the surface of a rock or a cliff, partly
covered with moss and lichens.
At the same time, the yarn that shows, cut in the weft,
creates a loose texture that makes it more durable.
Con i suoi colori, volutamente bianco e nero, il tessuto
della seduta di paCk rimanda alle stratificazioni delle
banchise polari, alla loro visione diurna e notturna. Grazie
alla doppia struttura e allo spessore importante, il tessuto
pesante e corposo del grande soFFiCe si appoggia al
corpo morbido del divano, garantendo il connubio fra la
presa di seduta, il rivestimento e la tecnologia del Cuscino
Intelligente.
Talvolta la pelle diventa un elemento strutturale in
policarbonato, metallo, legno e fibra. Nel caso della
VerMelha, avvolge lo scheletro con 500 metri di corda
speciale. Nella sedia gina e nella poltrona Margherita,
un intreccio di policarbonato ‘ricamato’ a mano crea
un nido protettivo che gioca con la luce, assumendo
sfumature e lucentezza sempre diverse.
With its colours, deliberately whittled down to black and
white, the upholstery on the seat of the paCk looks like
the layers of the arctic ice pack, the daily and nightly sight
of it. With the double frame and the sizeable section, the
thick, chunky upholstery of the grande soFFiCe rests
on the soft body of the sofa, for a perfect combination
between the depth of the seat, the upholstery and the
Smart Cushion technology.
The skin can sometimes turn into a structural
polycarbonate, metal, wood and fiber. In the VerMelha, it
envelopes the skeleton in 500 metres of a special rope.
In the gina chair and in the Margherita armchair, a
tangle of hand-‘embroidered’ polycarbonate creates a
protective nest that plays with light, suffused with ever-
changing shades and glints.
