Flap e la Flowers ColleCtion sono fuori da ogni tendenza,
da ogni discussione sul rapporto tra forma e funzione: sono
semplicemente bellezza. Non sono diventati icone con il passare
del tempo, ma sono nati icone. La
peculiarità del disegno di getsuen e
rose Chair, la sensualità dell’incavo
percepita anche a distanza, ben prima
di sedersi, insieme al velluto rosso dei
rivestimenti li hanno resi subito oggetti
unici e irripetibili.
C’è poi la fase della produzione, che
unisce tecnologia
avanzata
e
alto
artigianato.
Dal 1990, i ‘Fiori’ di Masanori Umeda
raccontano un mondo che ricorda
più quello di “Alice nel paese delle
Meraviglie” che il nostro. Un mondo
dedicato a chi cerca nella vita frammenti
di sogno, natura, bellezza.
In Edra le ‘icone’ nascono dalla libertà.

appartengono a categorie o a tipologie predefinite, ma che sono

Flap and Flowers ColleCtion are able to elude every
defining or typological trend, every debate on the relationship
between form and function: they are simply beauty. What is
extraordinary is that they have not
become icons over time, they were born
icons.
The peculiarity of forms of getsuen
and rose Chair, the sensuality of
concavities savored by the eye even before
sitting down, and the red velvet often
used to upholster them, immediately
established them as unique and inimitable
objects. Then there is the production

technology and high craftsmanship.
Since 1990, the “Flowers” by Masanori
