Nati a Milano negli anni '30, De Pas, D’Urbino e Lomazzi operano insieme dal 1966
nella progettazione di architetture, oggetti, allestimenti, arredamenti ed in campo
urbanistico. Negli anni '60 sviluppano un'attività di creazione di mobili ed architetture
temporanee, caratterizzati dall'uso di segni, materiali e tecnologie industriali avanzate.
Continuano nella sperimentazione sulla progettazione "di confine" tra architettura e
design, attraverso numerosi allestimenti. Nel 1979 ricevono il premio Compasso d'Oro.
Loro opere sono collezionate nei più importanti Musei del mondo. La loro produzione è
documentata nella letteratura storica sul design italiano e nelle principali pubblicazioni
internazionali di settore.
Born in Milan in the 1930s, De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi have been working together
since 1966 in the design of architecture, objects, installations, furnishings, and urban
planning. In the 1960s, they engaged in creating furniture and temporary architectures
characterized by the use of signs, materials, and advanced industrial technologies.
They continued to experiment in the "border" design between architecture and
design through numerous installations. In 1979, they received the Compasso d'Oro
award. Their works are held in collections at the world's most important museums.
Their production is documented in historical literature on Italian design and in major
international industry publications.
