This collection is made up of seatings with two heights: chair and stool, dedicated to residential and contract use with the frame in curved multilayer wood and metal frames (4 legs with round or triangular cross-sections, sled rod and stool).
From an aesthetic point of view, this chair is inspired by the Nordic tradition, both in the clean lines and natural finishes. The stylistic key-point is given primarily by the design of the large embracing backrest, which, in addition to the great seating comfort, it also redefines the general proportions of the chair, making it extremely modern. Moreover, the wide backrest contributes to redefining the morphological “features” of the seat and makes it half way between a chair and an armchair.
From a technological point of view, FLY represents a sort of “move beyond” as produced by Radice & Orlandini and Domitalia until now, with regard to its multilayer shell. As a matter of fact, after various attempts and corrections to the models, the designers and the company have obtained a very ambitious and “sculptural” shape in a single piece of curved multilayer wood.
