The Frequency collection is based upon a practical system of modular shelves that use two simple elements to create a stable frame: a wooden veneer lacquered or varnished upright with shelves in coloured and folded metal plate. The combinations of colour and positioning of the shelves refer – not coincidentally – to the definition of the term frequency: defined as “the number of opportunities of a recurring event”, but also as “the frequency of light that determines the visible colours of the spectrum”. This concept makes Frequency a suitable product for any living use and at the same time guarantees flexibility and a great variety of chromatic combinations, thanks to the large range of available finishes: in addition, it is extremely functional: the vertical uprights are made of a light honeycomb frame to facilitate transport and assembly. The thin steel shelves are bent, during the production, so as to create a structural rigidity with the thickness of the uprights. The shelves are fastened to the supporting structure in a simple manner, using standard industrial hardware easily to be found on the market.
