Element is a strong, poetic collection including a chair, dining tables, low tables and console tables, designed for Desalto by sensitive, visionary Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka. The Element collection offers an extensive range of items, including dining tables that are rectangular - up to three metres long - round and square in shape, low tables for beside the bed or sofa, bistro tables and a totemic chair of great character, which is also well suited to standing alone. In the colours black and white, the tables are enhanced by interesting finishes: tops with open-pore oak covering, opaque white or black glass, raw iron, wax-finished to bring out the imperfection of the surface.
The design thinking that has inspired Tokujin’s visionary Element collection is so clear and strong that it is able to generate countless formal and typological solutions. This new round table is one of these variables. A sculpture table of large dimensions that entertains ten people comfortably.
“Element is a collection of furniture items with a sculptural form inspired by the natural structure of crystals. With this project, I would like to raise the question of how we can connect our lives with the future, exposing ourselves to the serendipity of beauty that is born from nature”. Tokujin Yoshioka
In 2014 the multi-award-winning Element collection is enriched with new versions, including a round table of large dimensions that entertains ten people comfortably. ø180 H 72 cm
