HYBRID OPTICS
While the smaller Spy 27 and Spy 39 make use of a reflector, Spy 52, 66 and 90 contain
a hybrid optic. Hybrid as the optical compartment combines a high-efficient reflector with
a small dome covering the LED. The dome serves as a mixing chamber to offer an optimal
colour consistency, even when using Tunable White and Soft Dim. Next to this, it reduces
the spill light to a minimum and makes the yellow LED less visible while maintaining the look
and feel of a reflector luminaire. The reflector on the other hand serves to boost
the efficiency to a maximum, as its high reflectance surface emits al rays of light coming
from the dome in the desired direction.
INTERCHANGEABLE (for spy 52 / 66 & 90)
The build-up of the Spy range with hybrid reflectors allows for an easy interchangeability of
the optics. By removing the front tube from the luminaire, the optical compartment can easily
be removed and be replaced by another beam angle if needed, completely toolfree.
HIGH POWER
The luminaires within the Spy range are specifically designed to protect the optical
compartment from overheating. By optimizing the internal thermal management, the Spy
luminaires can be driven at higher current and allow for a higher output out of the luminaire.
Every ray of light passes through the dome and is directed into the reflector, where it hits
the high reflective surface and leaves the luminaire into the desired way. As the light is fully
controlled by the combination of dome and reflector, clean beam angles can be created
with a sharp cut-off.
