Der erfahrene und stark in den Designprozess einge-
bundene Yachteigner wurde beim Bau vom Schweizer
Luxusyacht-Unternehmen Ocean Independence und dem
renommierten holländischen Schiffdesigner Martin Hanff
unterstützt. Die Liebe zum Detail offenbart sich in jedem
Element, vom voll ausgestatteten Fitnessraum bis hin
zu Kunstwerken und einer zentralen Wendeltreppe mit
kunstvoll geschwungener Holzvertäfelung. Die Innen-
räume bieten sowohl Schönheit als auch Funktionalität,
die raumhohen, umlaufenden Fenster auf beiden Decks
durchfluten den Innenraum mit natürlichem Licht und
schaffen eine echte Verbindung zwischen der Umgebung
und der Yacht, in der sich noch ein zusätzliches Acces-
soire versteckt: Ein im Bug «geparktes» U-Boot für zwei
Personen bietet für Gäste, die vom Komfort ihres Zuhau-
ses auf See in die Tiefen des Ozeans eintauchen wollen,
Unterwasserfahrten mit einer maximalen Tauchtiefe von
100 Metern!
So entstand aus einer verrückten Idee ein Projekt voller
Leidenschaft und ein Auftrag mit höchsten Anforderungen
an alle Lieferanten. Als die «Milele» auf der Royal-Haak-
voort-Werft in den Niederlanden vom Stapel lief, war die
Arbeit für Yacht-Designer Martin Hanff allerdings noch
längst nicht zu Ende – erst Mitte 2023 stach die «Milele»
voll ausgebaut zur Jungfernfahrt ins Mittelmeer. Hanff
war vom Eigner 2019 als neuer Verantwortlicher für den
Innen- und Aussenbereich an Bord geholt worden – ein
Glücksgriff, weil sich zwei Seelenverwandte trafen und in
de Sede einen Kompetenzpartner fanden. Martin Hanff:
«Der Eigner wollte ernst genommen werden, kümmerte
sich mit grösster Sachkenntnis um kleinste Details und
vertraute mir voll und ganz.» Der Yachtbesitzer habe viel
verlangt, sagt Hanff, aber auch viel gegeben: «Das Strah-
len in seinen Augen, wenn wir mal wieder eine Lösung
gefunden hatten, werde ich nie vergessen. Er ist der erste
Kunde, den ich auch als Mensch vermissen würde.»
The experienced yacht owner was heavily involved in the
design process and was supported in the construction
by the Swiss luxury yacht firm Ocean Independence and
the renowned Dutch ship designer Martin Hanff. A love
of detail is apparent in every single aspect, from the fully
equipped gym to the works of art and a central spiral
staircase with stylishly curved wood paneling. The interior
spaces are both beautiful and functional. The floor-to-ceil-
ling windows all around on both decks flood the interior
with natural light and create a genuine connection
between the yacht and its surroundings. And the yacht
conceals yet another surprising accessory: a two-person
submarine “parked” in the bow gives guests who want to
dive into the depths of the ocean from the comfort of their
home at sea the chance to take an underwater journey
down to a depth of 100 meters!
This is how a crazy idea was transformed into a project
full of passion and a commission setting the highest
demands on all suppliers. However, when the “Milele”
was launched at the Royal Haakvoort shipyard in the
Netherlands, the work for yacht designer Martin Hanff
was still far from complete – it wasn’t until mid-2023 that
the “Milele” was fully equipped and able to set off on
its maiden voyage on the Mediterranean. In 2019, the
owner onboarded Hanff to take charge of the interior and
exterior areas of the yacht – a lucky move as two kindred
spirits came together and found a competent partner in
de Sede. Martin Hanff: “The owner wanted to be taken
seriously, paid attention to the smallest of details with
great knowledge and expertise, and trusted me wholehe-
artedly.” According to Hanff, the yacht owner made many
demands, but also had a lot to give: “I will never forget
the gleam in his eye when we found yet another solution.
He’s the first customer that I actually came to miss as an
individual too.”
