In Milanese dialect Vidun means 'big screw.' The screw, a small, useful object, generated the idea of the first table in the è DePadova collection. The big wooden screw is a masterpiece of interlocking pieces made for the first prototype by Pierluigi Ghianda, master woodworker. In natural, white or black beech, or coloured in coordinating hues: violet with turquoise and green, red with yellow and goose-beak yellow. Theatrical, like a sculpture. The tempered glass top offers a view of the base. “It is always the conceptual detail that attracts people’s attention”, Vico Magistretti said.
