INSPIRING BOOKS
Jason Miller is inspired by common
aspects of American culture, as well
as the forms of nature, whether the
striking shapes of fluid in motion,
or the photorealistic paintings by
Vija Celmins of oceans, spiders’ webs
and stars. Modern Italian design,
rich with expressive curves and
unmistakable luxury also informs
his work, as he takes inspiration
not only from the materials and
contours, but their relationship
with space. Miller is interested in
the way interior environments define
experiences and express personal
styles, approaching furniture design
with a view to the wider context of
domesticity.
