Il banco reception dell’hotel Reina Del
Mar, lunga quasi 16 metri, con le sue forme
curve, vuole fare da contrappunto a
un’architettura complessivamente lineare e
cubica. La sua forma artistica lo trasforma
in un elemento scultoreo, quasi un’opera
d’arte, provacando reazioni e percezioni
emotive differenti a seconda della posizione
dello spettatore. Così facendo la lobby
appare mutevole e sempre diversa.
Le lastre di acciaio inossidabile sono
lavorate come se fossero un tessuto
mosso dal vento, ottenendo un effetto di
morbidezza e leggerezza inaspettato per
un materiale da sempre considerato freddo
e poco malleabile.

The almost 16 meters long reception desk
of the Reina Del Mar hotel, with its curved
shapes, aims to act as a counterpoint to an
overall linear and cubic architecture.
Its artistic form turns into a sculptural
element, almost a pieace of art, provoking
several emotions and perceptions
depending on the viewer’s position.
As a consequence, the lobby appears ever-
changing and always different.
The stainless steel sheets are crafted as
if they were a fabric blown by the wind,
obtaining an effect of unexpected softness
and lightness for a material that has always
been considered as cold and little malleable.
