Comme un poudrier ou un coffret précieux, l’action mécanique
d’ouverture ou fermeture rend l’objet rassurant et immédiatement
compréhensible. La lumière est diffusée par un épais pavé de verre,
dans toute son épaisseur. A l’intérieur, le volet en laiton poli fait office de
miroir pivotant grâce à une charnière bien présente. On peut allumer et
régler l’intensité de la lumière, le temps de s’aimer. Initialement pensé
pour la salle de bain, Poudrier peut néanmoins habiller un couloir ou une
entrée, même un lit.
[EN] Like a powder case or a precious box, the mechanical action
of opening or closing makes the object reassuring and immediately
understandable. Light is diffused through a thick glass block, throughout
its entire thickness. Inside, the polished brass flap serves as a pivoting
mirror thanks to a well-present hinge. One can turn on and adjust the
intensity of the light, taking time to love oneself. Initially designed for the
bathroom, Poudrier can nevertheless adorn a hallway or entrance, even
a bed.
