ZONE 0 refers to the content of the bath or shower. Here, electrical appliances are out of the question. If you still want a place in your
bath or shower, it must have an IP rating of minimum IPX7 (protection against submersion) and operate on a VLSV (Very Low Safety
Voltage). VLSV refers to either 12V AC or 25V DC. It is best to have the lighting in zone 0 installed by a qualified electrician
ZONE I refers to the zone up to 2.25 meters above the bottom of the bath or shower. Lighting in this zone should also work on a VLSV. The
IP value in zone 1 must not be lower than IPX5 (protection against water jets).
ZONE II then goes up to 60 cm around the bath or shower. A VLSV is also required within this zone. 230V voltage is possible, in case it is a
spot that is at least 1.60m from the ground. This spot must be connected to a differential of 30mA at the same time. In zone 2, a minimum
IP value of IPX4 is required.
