DSTAgE no tiene letreros fuera: el nuevo
restaurante de Diego Guerrero se presenta
anónimo a la calle Regueros, en el centro
de Madrid. Al entrar, todo es teatral: una
escenografía de ladrillo visto y estructura
desnuda —la reforma es producto del talento
creativo del propio Guerrero aplicado a la ar-
quitectura— acoge primero un bar que hace
de antesala y recibe al espectador; a conti-
nuación, un comedor que se convierte en
patio de butacas y se orienta a la cocina (que
es el escenario); y, por último, el backstage
en el piso inferior, un laboratorio donde se
ensayan los platos que protagonizarán en el
futuro esta obra gastronómica.
DSTAgE has no signs outside: Diego
Guerrero’s new restaurant stands
anonymously on Regueros street, in
the center of Madrid. Upon entering,
everything is theatrical: an exposed
brick setting and bare structure – the
refurbishment project is the product of
Guerrero’s own creative talent applied
to architecture – leads from a bar-
anteroom that welcomes spectators; next,
the dining room is like a theater’s stalls,
facing the kitchen that is the stage; and,
lastly, the backstage on the floor below,
which is a laboratory where the future
dishes of this cuisine of art are rehearsed.
