The Park is the main feature of the delicate balance that distinguishes the design of this villa. In
respect of the bond of landscaped heritage protecting this green area, the resettlement project
saw the preservation of all existing species of flora, increasing some essences. The Park was
equipped with new irrigation and lighting systems, where special emphasis has been placed in
the exaltation of the facade, swimming pools and the main tree species.
The request of the new owner to the designers was to eliminate edged shapes from the old
main pool, changing the design, but taking advantage of the existing excavation. In the new
realization there are three swimming pools – master, children and Jacuzzi who adopt sinuous
and harmonics lines, where the choice of materials emphasizes lights and colours. The inner
lining is in glass mosaic with mixture white base, while the three bottoms are now lined
with figurative mosaics: white roses with shades from yellow to pink and gray. The visual and
structural richness of this collection is highlighted by precious gold mosaic that makes up the
edges and covers the circular planters, together with large Palm trees, are the main components
for the setting of the scenic area.
To notice also the use of teak for the pool borders, another top quality material, which acts
as a perimeter in all sun areas embracing the pools. On wood the dark shades, pure white
furnishings stands out.
The old and large iron and glass roof that completed the area was dismantled, and built a new
timber structure in ivory colour. Designed in line with the green areas, covered in part with
blinds and curtains partly with climbing plants, has also teak floor. It was instead renovated and
restored the large Carrara’s marble planter that is already on the right side of the main pool,
since the entire project of the villa maintains and enhances the stylistic elements linked to the
use of this valuable historical material, also native of this area of Tuscany.
