Chippendale’s Signature
A fine walnut burl veneered and carved mahogany writing desk,
the serpentine top with a gadrooned carved edge and three
burnished leather inserts, above five drawers surrounding the
kneehole to one side and two cabinets to the reverse, on finely
acanthus carved cabriole legs terminating in claw and ball feet.

A flame walnut and rosewood crossbanded partner’s pedestal
desk, the serpentine moulded edge top centred by a well, each
side with three frieze drawers and three further drawers to each
pedestal, with tooled leather inlaid end slides and lockable side
cabinets each enclosing an adjustable shelf, all on a plinth base.
