Abstract Cipher 1 is an exquisite
study of technique and color with just
a hint of mark-making. A masterful
composition, this work on paper uses
layers of multiple colors to achieve
a textural feel, while a sense of
movement is created using a cascade
effect of the texturing and layering.
A tranquil color scheme in baby
blue and dark denim is punctuated
by snow-white dollops of color. The
scene is anchored by a bone-white
backdrop.
The harmonious use of color, texture,

All of the Clouds 1 captures a sunny coastal landscape in the moments surrounding a storm. Toward the top of the
canvas, grey blues meet darker slate tones amidst dense and shaded clouds. Along the horizon, a muted palette
of soft amber, coral, and light grey break up the sky and water. In the distance, sailboats add visual interest.
