Stephan Veit
After graduating from the University of
Kassel, Stephan Veit worked as a research
assistant in the field of computer-aided
design and visualisation. In 2002 he started
his own design agency in Stuttgart. Stephan
Veit Produktdesign works for various
well-known furniture industry brands,
including Pode.
Thijs Smeets
Thijs Smeets studied Industrial Product Design at
The Hague University of Applied Sciences. He has
now been running his own company since 2017:
Studio Smeets Design, based in a wonderful art
nouveau building in the centre of Amsterdam,
with a view of the Westertoren. For Pode, he has
the swivel armchairs Spot and Sparkle.
Raw Color
For Christoph Brach and Daniera ter Haar colour
is key, but they’re not only involved with product
design. Their interest extends much further,
from graphic design and photography to textiles,
with well-known fabric specialists Kvadrat and
Febrik being among their clients.
