Untitled è un progetto ambizioso che traduce quattro
eccezionali dipinti dell’artista Eric Blum in una collezione
di tappeti annodati a mano, fondendo l’essenza
contemporanea delle sue opere con l’antica tradizione
della tessitura dei tappeti.
I dipinti di Eric Blum invitano lo spettatore a esplorare i
margini della percezione — quegli spazi liminali in cui i
confini tra forma e indefinitezza si confondono.
Le sue composizioni esistono a metà tra il tangibile
e l’effimero, tra il reale e il percepito. Questo senso di
incertezza è profondamente radicato nel suo metodo, in
cui le forme vengono spesso frammentate, trasformate
e sovrapposte in strati di materiali traslucidi come
acquarello, inchiostro e seta infusa di cera.
Attraverso la collezione Untitled, abbiamo catturato la

Untitled is an ambitious project that translates four
exceptional paintings by artist Eric Blum into a collection
of hand-knotted rugs, blending the contemporary essence
of his artwork with the age-old tradition of rug-making.
Eric Blum’s paintings invite viewers into the margins of
perception — those liminal spaces where the boundaries
of form and amorphousness blur. His compositions exist
between the tangible and the ephemeral, the actual and the
perceived. This sense of uncertainty is deeply embedded
in his methodology, where forms are often fragmented,
transformed, and overlapped in layers of translucent
materials such as watercolor, ink, and wax-infused silk.
Through the Untitled collection, we have captured
the intricate complexity of Blum’s shapes and colors,
translating them into a new language of hand-knotted rugs
made from precious silk, wool, and linen yarns.
