The leather from Leolux
comes exclusively from
certified tanneries. For
an animal-free lifestyle,
however, you can also opt
for ‘artificial leather’.
certification for other wood types. Furthermore, we only use
certified foam types with a very long lifespan. And we use our
waste to produce our own ‘Eco-fill’ cushion filling.
Leather and fabric
All partner tanneries with which we work account for
their leather production methods through certifications.
Our fabrics are certified according to the standards of
Oeko-Tex, Greenguard, EU Ecolabel or even Cradle to Cradle.

Furthermore, we offer a series of materials that reflect your
sustainability wishes. We call them our ‘Responsible choices’
and your Leolux adviser will be happy to tell you more.
For a more sustainable world
Local bespoke production
Leolux is based in Venlo, the Netherlands. A second
production site is in Szolnok, Hungary. Within our production
process, we continuously work on reducing our environmental
impact. This is expressed in numerous initiatives: cleaner
production methods, more efficient machines, less use of
materials, solar panels, more energy-efficient buildings
and cleaner trucks. Furthermore, our production process
produces very little waste. And the minimum quantities of
residual materials are reused wherever possible.
Responsible materials
Your Leolux is made from sustainably produced beech
wood. We are also well on our way to getting full (PEFC)
Leolux makes products with a long lifespan.
For us, that sustainable product is the basis
for responsible entrepreneurship. But Leolux
goes further. Our aim is a more beautiful
world for the next generations. And we want
to tell you how we are trying to achieve this.
